Breakdown:
The Domain
Forget for a moment that a fast food counter person would be given an email account. Probably a secret agent cover story thing. But why .net? Was .com not available? The setting that comes to mind for that domain isn’t a fast food counter, but a help desk cubicle with her in a headset surrounded by robot action figures. Which apparently was the only geek fan service fantasy NOT used in this series. Damn it.
Back to the main point, it does feel like a mistake that the domain appears in the first place. It wasn’t on screen that long, and the producers could have gotten away with just putting “Sarah” into the To: field as an alias. But that seems like a very minor quibble for a very humorous domain and show.
